Lightweight Spring Layers
Layering is a simple way to add unique demension to an ensemble, and puts your personal touches on a look that makes it uniquely yours. I almost ALWAYS layer my looks, but it can be tricky in the warmer spring and summer months. I am always hot, so adding layers is not always ideal for keeping my body temperature cool. The key to adding layers in warmer weather months really comes down to two things: lightweight and breathable fabrications.
Cotton is the official fabric of the summer since it is so breatheable, but any lightweight cotton blend will help our body temp cool, even with denim. Also, lightweight jackets allow for successful layering without feeling stifled in your ensemble.
Look for easy, breezy outer layers that have roll up tabs at the sleeve to keep your arms cool, and wide collars that keep fabric away from the neck.
