Spring Refresh: Little White Dress

I hope you all are doing well during this scary and uncertain time we are experiencing. Our world has literally been turned upside down and I know that all of us are doing our best and taking it day by day. I understand that shopping, style and fashion are not a current priority to most, and I truly want you to know that I am sensitive to the content I am creating and sharing. This partnership started prior to the stay-at-home order being put in place here in LA, and I have been in self-quarantine for the past 16 days. My BF took these images with my iPhone in our neighborhood, and I hope it brings you a bit of sunshine, inspiration, and a little bit of refreshing normalcy. Sending you all lots of love!

If I suggested an all white dress as an option to my styling clients during one of our shopping sessions, most of them would probably tell me NO without taking a breath, as wearing an all white look can seem a bit intimidating. I would then encourage them to put it in their cart and try it on anyway, as stepping into uncomfortable wardrobe territory is the only way we can evolve our personal style. When the package arrived they would slip it on and fall in love with it, just like I did with this Eyelash Lace Shift Dress, which is why I chose to share it with you as the second look of my Spring Dress Round Up with Catherines {if you missed my first post of this series you can check it out here}.

I wear a lot of color and print, so little white dress option is a nice addition to my wardrobe, especially in this classic lace texture and shift silhouette, which will stay in my closet season after season. I added these Sun Vally Sunglasses, which give me instant retro chic vibes, as well as a few of my favorite festive accessories to complete the look.

When I shot this look I was inspired by the fabulous Easter brunch I would be attending this weekend if we were not in the midst of a global pandemic. Since this year I will be spending Easter drinking mimosas in my PJs, it felt good to get dressed up {for the first time in almost 3 weeks since self-quarantine began} to share some sunshine with you!

Sizing: I am wearing a size 3X in this dress. I typically wear a size 26/28 or 4X , however the Catherines sizing is generous, so I always go for a 24 or 3X, unless there is no stretch, in which case I will size up.

I am definitely saving this dress for all the fun spring and summer events I hope we all get to attend soon! Are you adding new spring looks to your wardrobe?
