Style for Every Body with Talbots

Denim is an essential part of my every day wardrobe, and I am always searching for that perfect pair of jeans that offers the comfort, style and wearability trifecta. I spend a lot of time running around the city prepping for shoots, working on set, and juggling various projects, so I need my wardrobe to be functional and versatile for both work and play. I am in the process of transitioning to a streamlined capsule wardrobe, which is anchored in well-fitting, high quality basic pieces that I have curated to build endless wardrobe combinations {more on this soon}, so when Talbots reached out to collaborate on their Style for Every Body campaign, I was excited to test drive a few of their classic denim pieces.

Talbots is one of the few brands that offers customers multiple size ranges, including misses, petite, curvy, plus, and petite plus. Their denim range focuses on 5 different silhouettes that cater to all shapes and sizes, offered in Skinny, Slim, Straight, Bootcut and Relaxed. The plus size size range is 12W-28W, with select bottoms in petite and tall lengths!

I typically go for a skinny or slim fit style jean, so I chose the Flawless Five Pocket Jeggings, paired with the Classic Jean Jacket. I love the lightweight, soft to the touch feel of these jeggings. They are high-rise, which is ideal for my “more in the middle” body type. They sit close to the body from thigh to ankle hem, and the shape-retaining feature kept them from stretching out, even after wearing them all day! I paired them with the Classic Jean Jacket, which is super stretchy, and sits just at my natural waist, which helps me create the illusion of a more defined waistline. Both of these pieces are currently in heavy outfit rotation, and can be mixed and matched with almost ALL other items in my wardrobe!
