Plaid Love Affair

My love affair with plaid began circa 1993 when my wardrobe consisted of nothing but men’s thrift store plaid flannels that I styled with my favorite grunge band t-shirts and vintage Levi’s. Over the years my style has evolved a bit, but my favorite go-to outfit  is still a plaid button down layered with my favorite jeans or cute pair of joggers. 

In the cooler fall and winter months I always love seeing the plaid trend come back to life in the season’s trendy silhouettes, so when my friends at JD Williams asked me to partner with them to highlight some of my favorite fall trends, I could not ignore my plaid BFF, especially in this classic midi shirt dress style, made even more casual cool with the subtle hi-lo ruffle hemline.

Styled with the Faux Suede Ankle Boot {which gives a rich pop of color}, a chic hat, and my favorite aviators, this dress is an easy for me to throw on and look instantly polished, and I can add a pair of tights and layer a sweater when the temperature drops.
