{my style} Plus Size Outerwear

A few weeks ago I was in NYC to celebrate NYFW, meet with clients, and to style two fashion editorials for the March issue of PLUS Model Magazine {live on March 1st and I am SO excited to share}.  I left the 80 degree LA sunshine and braved the east coast frigid cold and snow, all for the love of plus size fashion!

The one good thing about traveling to the cold weather is being able to put together FAB ensembles with the plus size outerwear pieces in my closet that I do not often get to wear in LA.  Over the holidays, Simply Be gifted me this amazing Tweed Belted Cape that I had been drooling over since it first hit the site.  It has been WAY to warm to wear it in LA, so I was beyond excited to wear it for meetings on my last day in the city.  I am willing to do {almost} anything to make photo magic happen, and I always LOVE being in NYC, but I have to admit, this NYC weather was by far, the coldest I have ever experienced.  This west coast girl was NOT ready!

Layers are the name of the game when you are running around the freezing cold city… I let the cape have its moment and paired it with head to toe black.
