Making a Valentine’s Day Statement

You may have seen me making a Valentine’s Day statement in this Lane Bryant Lip Sweater on my social the day I hosted the Lane Bryant NFL Style Event.  Jolene of Boardroom Blonde, Crystal of Sometimes Glam, and Nicole Simone came to visit me at the event and I fell in love with them trying on the sweater, then decided to join the sweater party, so of course that meant that we had to have an impromptu photo shoot right there in the middle of the store. 

What can I say… these girls are fabulous and they totally inspire me, which is what it’s all about, right? Plus, its like the sisterhood of the traveling sweater, because it literally looks good on everyone.  Needless to say, we all bought the sweater.  Statement pieces are festive and fun, especially for holidays, and I love seeing everyone’s unique personal style come to life when they wear it.

Sometimes Glam, Boardroom Blonde and Jenesaisquoi have all been seen wearing it casual and sweet, with their own personal twist.
I, on the other hand, decided to {in the spirit of Valentine’s Day}, give this sweater a bit of a different twist… so I took my pants off and showed my sexy {and playful, and silly} side… Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Celebrating the season of love has a uniquely special meaning for each of us- partners, lovers, best friends, family and even our pets, but by far, the most important part of celebrating the season of love, is practicing self- love and acceptance. Above all- embracing our bodies, flaws and all, and believing that our size or shape places no value on our worth.  If we do not love ourselves, then we will never truly be able to love anyone else.

Share the love of the season with those around you, but most importantly with yourself! Be good to yourself and others will too! XOXO
